Chapter 4:
Chapter 4 talks about culture and religion in Eurasia/North America. To start China had different view points; the legalist answer, the confucian answer and the daoist answer. I also read about the creation of the Ying/Yang sign. Next was the cultural traditions of classical India. This section talked about the Buddhist challenge and all that involved Buddha. It also stated that Buddhism stemmed from Hinduism. The next section in the book talked about the search for God in the Middle East. Religions such as; Zoroastrianism and Judaism. Then the book jumped to touching on the cultural traditions of the classical Greece. The Greek way of knowing and the Greek Legacy were discussed. Religion is very important to the creation of our world and how everyone interacts with one another in our generation today.
"Serving is Different from Helping and Fixing":
The article says, "Serving is different from helping. Helping is based on inequality; it is not a relationship between equals." The article is basically talking about how if you're helping someone it might make them feel lesser and that they "owe you one". When you're serving someone it is mutual and one can have a feeling of gratitude by doing so.
